His highness Mr. Fatek bin Faher bin Taymoor Al Said attended the sixth graduation ceremony of Gulf College as guest of honour.
Under the patronage of his highness Mr. Fatek Bin Faher Bin Taymoor Al Said, the secretary general of the Ministry of Heritage and Culture and in the presence of professor Michael Gunn, the vice-chancellor of Staffordshire University, UK, and his escorting delegation, and a number of their Excellencies and Sheikhs, Gulf College’s graduation ceremony was held yesterday, Monday the 17th of March in Al Noor hall in Medinat al Sultan Qaboos. The ceremony was also attended by Dr Issa bin Sabeel al Balushi, the chairman and executive head of the college and Dr Taki al Abduwani, the Dean of the college, all members of the academic and administrative authorities, and a large number of the graduates’ relatives. Gulf College celebrated its 6th graduation ceremony during which 550 male and female students graduated in the various college specialisations and were awarded their bachelor or higher education diploma after they had satisfactorily met all the academic standards which is the level of achievement that students needs to reach to receive their academic certificate and to be well-qualified for the labour market in order to effectively contribute to serving this nation under the wise leadership of his majesty, Sultan Qaboos Bin Said, may God protect him.
The ceremony started with the recitation of some Koran verses. After that, Dr Issa Bin Sabeel Al Balushi, the chairman and the executive head of the college, delivered his speech during which he welcomed the audience.
