Alumni Advisory Board

PROCEDURE ON THE CONDUCT OF ALUMNI ADVISORY BOARD (AAB)

 

The document that is referenced in this procedure is applicable to the scope specified herein.

 

1. Purpose

 

The main purpose of establishing Alumni Advisory Board is to have interactions of management and leadership of GC with its Alumni and in order to secure key objectives in its industrial engagement strategy.

 

Gulf College aims to have a well-defined, coordinated and institution-wide approach to the identification of, and engagement with, industry, employers and the community. It implements systems and processes for managing and maintaining relationships with its alumni. Its engagement with this group ensures their input into a range of the GC’s academic and community engagement activities.

 

Alumni Advisory Board (AAB) is a step taken by Gulf College to create a formal mechanism to ensure that its Alumni are involved appropriately in GC’s planning and review activities.

 

2. Scope

 

Gulf College keeps its alumni informed about institutional developments and encouraging participation in relevant academic and social activities,

3. Responsibility and Authority

 

Centre of Career Advisory and Alumni Affairs maintains data on industry and community engagement activities, including stakeholder feedback. Data is used as part of the regular review of the Gulf College’s industry and community engagement activities to ensure its approach remains effective, constructive and productive. The Manager and the coordinators of CCGAA have the responsibility and full authority to ensure that this procedure is being followed. The Manager may delegate or assign task to his/her qualified personnel if necessary.
