Dr. Rima Mansoor Al Zadjali, Dean- Gulf College, conducted series of workshops on institutional performance management on 11th and 24th October 2018 at F24 and Conference Hall respectively. Believing that strategic planning provides practical roadmaps for implementing and managing the College’s strategic direction and aspirations, Dr. Rima conducted a follow up workshop on 19th December 2018 wherein all centres and faculties presented their draft Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Key Results Indicators (KRIs).

Dr. Rima zeroed in on the importance of institutional performance management from planning to measurement. She has also expounded on the key terms such as mission, vision, values, strategic priorities/goals, strategies, performance objectives, initiatives and KPIs and KRIs. During the workshops, the participants were engaged in group discussions and presentations using the theories and concepts presented in the workshops. The participants were able to distinguish between KPI and KRI, strategic vs. operational measures, performance objectives vs. initiatives, leading vs. lagging indicators, etc.
