Terms of Reference – The Industry Consultative Panel have the following functions and duties:

1. To support the college in continuously improving its work placement and community activities that lead to productive relationships;

2. To ensure that industry and employer stakeholders are involved appropriately when introducing new academic programmes and reviewing existing ones as per job market requirements;

3. To provide input on Gulf College graduate attributes to ensure that they meet the requirements of the job market;

4. To provide guidance and advice to contextualise the College curriculum whenever required in order to ensure that is compatible with industry needs;

5. To suggest on-demand skills and technologies to be incorporated into the college extracurricular activities;

6. To advocate and promote the College programmes; and

7. To support the College academic activities and initiatives.

 

Membership – The Industry Consultative Panel comprises:

• Deputy Dean-Academic Affairs & Research (Chair)

• Director-Centre for Training and Community Relations (Deputy Chair)

• Head for the Industry & Community Relations Department

• Director-Centre for Postgraduate Studies & Research

• Head-Faculty of Business & Management Studies

• Head-Faculty of Computing Sciences

• Three Industry Representatives

• Two Alumni Representatives

• Head-Industry & Community Relations (Member & Rapporteur)

 

Frequency of Meetings – The ICP shall meet at least two times in a year.

Reporting line – Reports to the Academic Board.
