Industry Consultative Panel

Terms of Reference

Purpose – The Industry Consultative Panel have the following functions and duties:

 

  1. To support the college in continuously improving its work placement and community activities that lead to productive relationships;
  2. To ensure that industry and employer stakeholders are involved appropriately in introducing new academic programmes and reviewing existing ones as per job market requirements;
  3. To provide input on Gulf College graduate attributes to ensure that they meet the requirements of the job market;
  4. To provide guidance and advice to develop the College curriculum to ensure that it is compatible with industry needs and international standards;
  5. To suggest on-demand skills and technologies to be incorporated into the college extracurricular activities;
  6. To advocate and promote the College programmes;
  7. To support the College’s academic activities and initiatives.

  • Deputy Dean – Academic Affairs & Research, Chair
  • Director, CARC, Deputy Chair
  • Director, CPSR
  • Director, CTCR
  • Heads of Faculties (FCS and FBMS)
  • Head – Industry and Community Relations, Member & Rapporteur
  • Programme Leader – PSD
  • 9 Industry Representatives

 

Frequency – The Panel shall meet twice a year.

 

Reporting bodies – Reports to the Academic Board.
