Description

This programme provides a basic foundation in the areas of accounting and finance and economics, offering students the opportunity at the end of their first year to transfer into any of these areas if they wish. Students continuing on this programme will learn how to produce financial accounts, and interpret financial statements. They will also develop skills necessary for managerial, investment and financial decision making in a modern business context. The Accounting and Finance degree is accredited by the professional accounting bodies, thereby allowing students to apply for exemptions for some professional accounting examinations on graduation.

The BA (Hons) in Accounting and Finance and the Accounting and Finance Diploma in Higher Education is awarded by Cardiff Metropolitan University, UK.

What does the Programme contain?

The Programme focuses on all the major areas of Accounting and Finance and provides the knowledge and skills to analyze and understand Accounting and Finance in wider perspectives. The core elements of Accountancy and Finance are Management accounting, Financial Services Regulation and Ethics, Financial accounting, Advance Financial Management, Digital Accounting, Research skills and Summer Experience of Work with Personal Development Planning are covered in all the four years of the programme. The scope to choose optional provides the opportunity to build and enhance knowledge and skills in specific areas as per individual requirements.

Where does the Qualification lead to?

The knowledge and skills acquired by the graduates of this programme in the application of specific tech inquest in the field of Accounting and Finance and an understanding of the factors that may influence the Accounting and the Financial Systems will provide them with wide job opportunities. They will have employment opportunities in almost every industry, which includes Banking, Financial Services, Insurance and Accountancy. They will also have the scope to work in General Management areas.
