السيرة الذاتية القصيرة:

Dr. Alrence S. Halibas is an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Computing Sciences at Gulf College. She previously served as a Programme Leader for the Faculty from 2015-2018. Prior to joining Gulf College, Dr. Halibas was the Dean of the College of Computer Studies, La Salle University, Philippines and an Associate Dean of the School of Engineering and Information Technology for the same. Dr. Halibas is a seasoned academic administrator and educator who has an excellent track record in teaching for the past 20 years. She authored some of the academic policies and procedures of Gulf College, namely Staff Grievance Policy, Teaching-Research Nexus Strategy, Professional Reading Circle, and Graduate Attributes and Learning Outcomes Assessment Framework. Likewise, she also chaired in several curricular and co-curricular activities of the College.
Dr. Halibas is a holder of several IT certifications, an active researcher, and reviewer. She has published research papers in several refereed journals and peer-reviewed conference proceedings, including the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineer (IEEE) and Informing Science Institute (ISI), USA. Her research works are indexed in Scopus, EBSCOhost, Elsevier, Gale, Proquest, IEEE, Google Scholar, and other reputable research databases. Moreover, she was awarded a Silver Reviewer Award in 2018 by ISI because of her excellent reviews. Dr. Halibas was also appointed as a technical panel member and session chair in several international research conferences in IEEE.
