The Faculty of Computing Sciences facilitated a series of meetings with Mr. Nico Decourt, SU’s International Programme Advisor PA(I) for May, 2017. Furthermore, he delivered a staff development workshop for staff and held a meeting with selected FCS students.
During the meetings with the staff, Mr. Nico emphasized the importance of staff training and development in improving the teaching quality. Likewise, he shared how Staffordshire University conducts staff evaluation and peer observation. These practices allowed the University to achieve good teaching and learning outcomes which Gulf College can duplicate.
Since it was Mr. Nico’s last visit to the College as an IPA, Dr. Mohaned Al Obaidy and Mr. Abobacker Shaffi awarded him a token of appreciation in gratitude for his exceptional service and support to the Faculty. His presence will surely be missed by the Faculty.
Below are some snapshots taken during his visit.
