The Level 4 students, Mr. Khalid Hussein Al Balushi and Hamed Salim Al Rahbi under the supervision of Dr. Rowena Ocier Sibayan, presented a research paper at Arab Open University 1st International Student Research Conference titled “Oman Education System: The Influence of Social Media in Learner’s Learning Process” on May 24-25, 2017.  The research presented was a group assignment output of Technical English for Computing module, which was converted to a research paper.  The students have seen potentials during the assignment preparation. Dr. Rowena Sibayan motivated the students to prepare a very good assignment which could be presented at a conference. During the conference presentation, the audience was impressed by the student’s presentation skills and there was no doubt the students can make it again with proper guidance and mentoring from their teachers.  Dr. Rowena is looking forward to working again with Khalid and Hamed for a FURAP Proposal by next TRC FURAP Proposal submission.  Congratulations, Khalid and Hamed!
