FCS Staff attended the SAS Business and Mobile App Development and Operation Workshop

Dr. Rowena Ocier Sibayan and Dr. Salvacion DomingoFaculty of Computing Sciences staff attended the Business and Mobile Application Development Workshop at SAS Entrepreneurship held at the Knowledge of OASIS Muscat on July 19-20, 2017.  The objective of the workshop was to present the output of the fresh graduate trainees from SAS who participated in the Business Mobile Apps Training conducted by SAS for Mobile Development.  The primary purpose of this workshop was to present the foundation for commercially successful business platforms through Mobile Apps from a technology perspective.

The Gulf College FCS students will benefit from this workshop by sharing the knowledge gained and this will re-echo during the next semester in the FYP workshops. This will help the FCS students to develop a final year project that could turn into a business startup related to mobile application.  There have already been FCS graduates who developed a mobile application for their FYP and uploaded it to Google pay. This is evidence that FCS students have strength in mobile application development.

Guidance and mentoring from the supervisors and lecturers of the Faculty of Computing Sciences are the key aspect in developing final year projects in information technology and mobile applications—Dr. R. O. Sibayan
