Dr. Abubucker S. Shaffi received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Madras in 2022, a Master’s of Philosophy in Computer Science from Periyar University in 2007, and a Master’s degree in Computer Application from Manonmaniam Sundaranar University in 1999. He has more than twenty years of teaching and administrative experience in academia and has held various positions.  Before joining Gulf College in 2007, he worked as a Lecturer in India and the Kingdom of Bahrain. He taught extensively at undergraduate and postgraduate level programmes in India. Currently, he is the Acting Head of the Faculty of Computing Sciences at Gulf Colleges and is also teaching level 5 students Systems Analysis and Design. He is also the Dissertation Project Supervisor for Level 6 Students. He is a certified internal auditor for ISO 9001:2008 and an active researcher who has published research papers in international journals. His research interests include computer networks and software engineering.
