Short Bio:

Dr. ArunaDevi Karuppasamy holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Sultan Qaboos University (2022). She completed her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Computer Science and Engineering from Anna University, India. She is a Professional Member (MBCS) of BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT (UK) and holds the BCS Foundation Certificate in Artificial Intelligence (2025). Dr. ArunaDevi is the recipient of the National Research Award (NRA), 11th Cycle (2024) in the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Category, awarded by the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation (MoHERI), Sultanate of Oman and the Best Research Award (Gulf College, 2024) in recognition of her impactful research contributions.  She has over 9 years of academic experience in Oman and India and currently serves as an Assistant Professor at Gulf College. Her responsibilities include teaching undergraduate modules, supervising research and final-year projects, contributing to curriculum development, and supporting quality assurance and programme review activities within the department. She serves as a Principal Investigator of an external MoHERI Block Funding Programme (BFP) research grant and has also led and co-led multiple internal research grants at Gulf College, contributing to AI-driven initiatives aligned with Oman’s digital and research priorities. Her research expertise focuses on Artificial Intelligence, Deep Learning, Medical Image Analysis, Machine Learning, and Predictive Analytics, particularly in healthcare and educational applications. Dr. ArunaDevi remains committed to advancing applied AI research, fostering student research engagement, and contributing to innovation and digital transformation in higher education.
