Aumir Shabbir​

Aumir Shabbir is a Lecturer at the Faculty of Business and Management Studies and is conversant at handling modules in the areas of computer science and networking. He is well-versed in managing a variety of modules in these areas, and is known for his composed and patient teaching style. With a decade of experience in education, Aumir has held numerous administrative and academic roles since joining the faculty in 2017. He holds a master’s degree in Computer Science and Computer Networks, as well as a Post-Graduate Diploma in Information Technology. Currently, he is pursuing his Ph.D. in Computer Science, with a focus on research topics such as Computer Networks, and the Internet of Things (IoT).
Aumir has received multiple awards and recognitions for his academic achievements and contributions to the field of education. Notably, he received the High Achievers Excellence Award for outstanding academic performance in Pakistan School & College, Muscat during the 2015-16 academic year. He was also recognised for his exceptional service as Examination Officer during the same period, receiving an appreciation shield. Aumir’s contributions to the IT Network Project at Pakistan School & College, Muscat were also recognised.
Within the Faculty, Aumir teaches a range of modules, including Information Technology in Business, Business Applications, Introduction to Information Systems, and Basic Mathematics. He is committed to providing students with the time and support needed to realise their full potential and excel in their academic pursuits.
