Dr. Rima Mansoor Al Zadjali- Dean and Dr. Shameena Mehtab- Deputy Dean Quality Management and Registry of Gulf College participated in a series of meetings with the partner universities from 29th October to 2nd November 2018. The main objective of their visit is to tackle operational and strategic matters in order to enhance the services offered to students. This further lays out the context for building Gulf College as an institution designed to promote student success outcomes.

During the five-day visit, Dr. Shameena and Dr. Rima were engaged in a series of meetings with the senior management of Cardiff Metropolitan University and Staffordshire University. Gulf College and its partner universities shared their important updates and developments. In these meetings, both parties discussed the innovative and effective strategies for improving student success, marketing, Moodle, library and IT, Special Needs Student support and other concerns. Likewise the challenges, issues and promising innovations to enhance student experience were also addressed.

Moreover, a meeting with University of Northampton senior staff was held to reactivate the Memorandum of Understanding signed in 2014. Both parties have agreed with new arrangements such as promoting joint research among faculty members, sharing best practices in teaching and enhancing student engagement in the classroom.
