BSc (Hons) Financial Technology (FINTECH)

The programme aims to provide a high quality and future-focused undergraduate degree that develops in students a critical understanding of the rapidly evolving world of Financial Technology (FinTech).
It integrates finance, technology, data analytics, and innovation to prepare graduates who can operate confidently within digital financial environments. The programme develops analytical, technical, and strategic capabilities required to respond to the transformation of global financial systems driven by Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, Cybersecurity, and Digital Finance.
Students gain both theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience, enabling them to design secure, efficient, and data-driven financial solutions relevant to Oman, the region, and international markets.

On successful completion of the Financial Technology programme, students will:

• Develop a strong foundation in finance, accounting, entrepreneurship, and information technology.
• Apply programming, statistical analysis, and financial modelling techniques to real-world financial challenges.
• Analyse financial markets, regulatory frameworks, and digital transformation trends within local and global contexts.
• Design and implement FinTech solutions using Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Blockchain, and Cybersecurity tools.
• Conduct independent research and develop innovative digital financial products.
• Complete an Industrial Work Experience module to gain professional exposure and practical insight into the FinTech industry.

The curriculum progresses from foundational academic and IT skills at Level 5 to advanced financial analytics, AI-driven finance, blockchain applications, cybersecurity, and a final-year FinTech project at Level 8.
